Forehead & Brow Lift
Brightening Your Face With a Forehead/Brow Lift
The forehead/brow lift is a wonderful procedure to place the brows back in a more elevated and youthful position. A female eyebrow should arch slightly above the supraorbital rim (the bone superior to the eye). The male brow is usually flat but again is at or above the supraorbital rim. As we age, the eyebrow gradually drops which is part of the cause of the accumulation of skin above the upper eyelid.
Have you ever looked in the mirror and lifted your eyebrows back up into their original position? Most people over 40 have done this a few times. Not only does it open up the eyes, it makes the upper face look so much more vibrant and youthful appearing. This is what we do when we do brow surgery. We lift the brow up into it’s original position. A very common mistake made is just to address the upper eyelid skin and not to address the brow position. By removing the upper eyelid skin only, the brow can sometimes be pulled down even further. Dr. Hammond will always review with you the position of your brows, and whether brow lift surgery with or without upper eyelid surgery would be best for you.

Reducing Eyebrow and Forehead Creases
Not only does brow lift surgery elevate the eyebrows, it also will help to reduce the wrinkling of the forehead and glabella (in between the nose). These deep lines are made by the muscle fibers.
